The Bayou State continues to evolve it's medical marijuana program since the beginning of 2016! A significant change in the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act in August 2020 went into place by broadening HB819 to allow any state-licensed physician to recommend medical cannabis to a patient they deem would benefit from it. Second to that, all medical marijuana consultations are now able to be conducted via Telemedicine which means you can get approved for medical marijuana from your own home!
